Make It Monday: Cookie Cutter Cards

It’s been raining here for the past couple of days, guys, and I just love it. I saw this image on Pinterest yesterday…

…and I said YUP, that’s me :).

Anywhoooo, today’s project was inspired by a blog post that I saw somewhere a while back. This blogger used her cookie cutters to create different shaped quotes/wordage on greeting cards. Here is my version of that!

I used my owl-shaped cookie cutter and fit the words of a quote inside the shape to add some interest to the card. The quote reads, “Always you were you, and I was I; we were two before our time. I was yours before I knew, and you have always been mine too.” I added a little ‘owl always love you’ off to the side as well :).

I dressed the card up with some burlap, washi tape, and buttons that have been hanging out in the card catalog for a while–gotta love the free stuff! I also added a slightly enlarged cut-out of the owl behind the quote to create a little more depth.

This is the only cookie cutter I have in the kitchen right now, but I think I will be doing some more of these when I get out my Christmas-themed cookie cutters this winter! I think a little reindeer card (complete with a red nose, of course!) could be quite cute ;).

Which of your cookie cutters will be using to make your personalized cards??
